Professor Dragan Gasevic (The University of Edinburgh and the coordinator of SHEILA) was invited to give a keynote presentation about learning analytics policy at the roundtable on analytics in higher education organized Universities UK and Civitas Learning in London, United Kingdom on September 2, 2016. The round table attracted more than 30 participants who are university senior leaders, educational policy makers, government officials, and leading researchers and service providers in learning analytics. Professor Gasevic presented the main activities that the SHEILA team is working on, expected outcomes, project timeline, and opportunities for engagement and partnership with the SHEILA team. The work on the SHEILA project received much attention and participants expressed their willingness to work with the members of the SHEILA team on the development of learning analytics policy guidelines for higher education. Several joint actions are planned as a follow up of this activity.
